Michele Jonas, PhD
Being a human is hard! But you don’t have to manage it all by yourself. The beauty of therapy is having someone who can help you carry your load, and maybe even lighten it. I enjoy working with individuals and families from diverse backgrounds and of all ages. I have extensive experience helping children, adolescents, and adults navigate challenges related to ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, OCD, anxiety, depression, romantic and family relationships, stress, attachment, self-regulation, and adjustment to life changes.
Building a strong and trusting relationship with my clients is my highest priority. From there, I use evidence-based practices to help them reach their goals. I incorporate elements of attachment, psychodynamic, developmental, cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), and mindfulness theories and techniques in order to meet each client’s unique needs.
I strive to be mindful of the environmental contexts in which each individual lives and acts. I use creativity and humor to build a warm, collaborative, and safe space where you can share thoughts and feelings that are hard to talk about in everyday life and work towards creating the life that you want.
